Great Set of Headphones

1 Disclaimer - I did return these headphones as I wear glasses and found them to be a bit too tight for my big fat head (a common problem I have with most headphones). That said, I found the sound reproduction quality to be outstanding. I've read 5 star reviews of $20 headphones and I guess when you consider how inexpensive they are, they're pretty good for mid-range podcasts. These headphones at this price point break into the audiophile category, albeit it at the lower end. I usually test headphones with the Dire Straights Brothers in Arms soundtrack, and could finally hear the bass guitar. Bass just a wee bit muddy and drops off in dB compared to the rest of the spectrum, but for the price, this is what I expect. I had tried 2 Panosonic headphones previously and found them to be lower mid-range centered with no ability to reproduce treble or any bass whatsoever, without increasing the gain up to max on the source graphic equalizer. That's not going to cut it for when you want to accurately repdroduce a soundtrack without any modification, such as from a portable sound device. All in all excellent headphones, great sound quality. Are there better? Yes. But you sure have to pay for it. It's a cost of diminishing returns. If only I had a smaller head and didn't wear glasses so these wouldn't make my ears hurt...

Okay. so the sound quality is AMAZING on this thing. but sadly, if you want to use it for everyday things such as listen to your ipod, use it to play computer games, this is not the headphones for you. the little connector that goes into the ipod or computer, will internally break by being bent and will therefore ruin the sound of the headphones. as you bend that part, it will ruin the sound, even the slightest bit.
